Poker

WePlay is a poker network first. The lobby has tabs for Hold'em, Omaha, cash games, tournaments and Spins, and the two jackpots sit on the cash tables.

Cash games: lively small stakes, with Bomb Pot tables

The cash tables we could see without signing in ran from $0.02/$0.04 to $1/$2, with buy-ins of 30 to 100 big blinds: $1.20 to $4 at the smallest table, $60 to $200 at $1/$2. Most of the Hold'em tables are named Bomb Pot and carry a small ante beside the blinds, $0.01 at the smallest and $0.48 at $1/$2, which is what keeps the pots big. When we looked at 07:00 Berlin time, the $0.50/$1 Bomb Pot table had seven of eight seats taken, the $1/$2 six-max was full, the $0.25/$0.50 Bomb Pot had six players and the $0.02/$0.04 tables five to eight. Hands per hour on the busy tables ran from 58 to 78. The Omaha tab is there as well; the tables with players when we looked were Hold'em.

The WePlay cash lobby with 290 players online: Bomb Pot tables from $0.02/$0.04, most of them full.

Two jackpots run on these tables and are paid out of the rake. The MonteCarlo Jackpot pays a share of a progressive fund to anyone who wins a hand with kings full of queens or better at a No-Limit Hold'em cash table, and the Bad Beat Jackpot pays the table when aces full of eights or better loses. Both are explained with their payout tables on the promotions page.

Tournaments: $76,325 guaranteed a week

The tournament lobby the same evening: the Sunday Showdown and the Monthly Mystery registering, the $1.10 Rebuy Rush in late registration, a free step to Rozvadov an hour away.

This is the reason we keep an account. Every day there is the Daily Grind (deep stacks, $11 to $33, $300 to $3,000 guaranteed), the Bounty Blitz (progressive knockouts, $16.50 to $33, $500 to $4,000), the Daily Turbo ($11 and $22), the Rebuy Rush ($1.10 and $2.20) and the Micro Climb ($1.10 to $5.50). Through the week come the flagships: the Eliminator on Tuesday ($44, $5,000), the MidStage Rush on Wednesday ($22, $3,000), the Predator on Thursday ($33, $4,000) and the Sunday Showdown ($55, $10,000), with the Monthly Mystery ($66, $15,000) once a month. Daily ticket freerolls and satellites feed all of it. The full schedule with times is in our WePlay review.

Spins: three players, up to 10,000 times the buy-in

The WePlay Spins lobby with the $1 game that pays up to $10,000 and the $3 game that pays up to $30,000
The Spins lobby: $1 for up to $10,000, $3 for up to $30,000 and $5 for up to $50,000, registered one to five games at a time.

Spins cost $1, $3 or $5, start as soon as three players have registered, and a wheel sets the prize before the first hand: from 2 to 10,000 times the buy-in. WePlay publishes how often each multiplier comes up per 100 million games: 2 times in 49% of games, 3 times in 44%, 5 times in 4.5%, 10 times in 2.2%, and the 10,000 multiplier 200 times in 100 million. The average prize works out at 2.85 buy-ins, so of the three buy-ins that go in, 5% stays with the room; that figure is our arithmetic from WePlay's table. The game itself is the push or fold chart made into a contest.

The casino

The casino is not WePlay's own; it is a library of games from outside studios under the same account and balance. The lobby sorts them by category and by provider. These are the counts the two pages show.

The provider page lists 39 studios, and their game counts add up to about 9,700. The largest are Inbet with 1,433 games, Pragmatic Play with 1,013, KA Gaming with 993, Play'n GO with 460, Red Tiger with 406, Evolution with 301, NetEnt with 226, Habanero with 212, Hacksaw with 198, Onlyplay with 176, GameArt with 175, Platipus with 170, Amigo Gaming with 159, OneTouch with 145, Betsoft with 103, SmartSoft with 74, Ezugi with 41 and Vivo Gaming with 29. Evolution, Ezugi and Vivo Gaming are the live dealer studios, with a dealer on camera at a physical table.

What each game keeps is set by its studio, not by WePlay, and a slot's return to player is usually printed in the game's own information screen. The usual range for online slots is 94% to 97%, which means $3 to $6 of every $100 put through them stays with the house in the long run. Live dealer blackjack and baccarat keep less if you play the basic strategy, crash games vary, and none of them is a game where skill turns the long run positive. Our Casino Game Helper has the rules and the house edge of the common table games, with a practice table for each.

The sportsbook

The app's home screen: Casino and Sports beside the poker, and the Bad Beat Jackpot standing at $94,605.72.

The Sports tab is in the lobby next to Poker, Casino and Promo, and it opens after you sign in. Football is there with markets such as the match result and both teams to score, and on the combos we have placed the slip multiplied the combined odds by 1.08; our Champions League night shows two of them. The sportsbook shares the account and the balance with the poker room, so a deposit made for the tournaments can be bet on a match without moving money anywhere.

One balance for all of it

  • The cashier is crypto only. It takes USDT on Ethereum (ERC20), Binance Smart Chain (BEP20) or Tron (TRC20), from $10 to $10,000 a day, and exchanges it into dollars when it arrives.
  • The balance is one balance. Poker, Spins, the casino and the sportsbook all draw on it, and 30% of the poker rake comes back into it every Monday.
  • Withdrawals have no minimum. How to withdraw covers the steps and the network fees.
  • A first deposit of $50 or more gets a 200% bonus up to $600, released in 5% pieces as you play poker. The terms are on the promotions page.

What we play there, and what we would say to a friend

We go to WePlay for the tournaments with guarantees, for the Monday rakeback, and for the Bomb Pot cash tables when we want action at small stakes. Those are the three things it does that are worth a second account.

The casino is large and the sportsbook is there, and both are paid for by the people who use them. A slot keeps three to six dollars of every hundred, a bet on a match carries the bookmaker's margin, and neither is changed by the fact that your poker bankroll sits in the same balance. If you use them, decide the amount first and keep it apart from the money for the tables. Poker is the game where skill moves the result over time; the others are the ones where it does not.
