Showdown trainer
Practise reading the board at the river. You see the five cards on the table, your two cards and your opponent's two. Pick who wins, or a split pot, and see why.

How the trainer works
Each player makes the best five-card hand out of seven cards: the two in the hand and the five on the board. A player can use both hole cards, one of them, or none, when the board itself is the best hand.
From the top, the hands rank: straight flush, four of a kind, full house, flush, straight, three of a kind, two pair, a pair and high card. When both players have the same kind of hand, the higher cards decide, from the first one that differs. Suits never decide in Hold'em, so the same five ranks split the pot.
The trainer deals hands worth reading. About a third are the same kind of hand on both sides, where the kickers decide, and about one in ten is a split pot. The score stays until you leave the page, and nothing is stored. Before the flop, the preflop trainer takes over.

Questions
How does a player make a hand in Hold'em?
With the best five of seven cards: the two in the hand and the five on the board. A player can use both hole cards, one of them, or none, when the board itself is the best hand.
When is the pot split?
When both players make the same five-card hand by rank. Suits never decide in Hold'em, so a flush or a straight of the same ranks splits the pot, and so does a board that plays for both.
What is a kicker?
A card that is not part of the pair, two pair or three of a kind but still counts toward the five. When two players hold the same pair, the higher kicker wins. When the kickers are on the board, both players share them and the pot can be split.
