Miners earn $1.2 billion in October as hashprice falls 18%
Bitcoin miners earned about $1.215 billion in October, their best month since November 2025. Revenue per unit of computing power fell 17.5% over the month, from $40.24 to $33.18 per petahash per day. Network hashrate stood at about 1,082 exahashes per second.
Lower earnings per machine put pressure on smaller miners, while the high hashrate keeps the network well secured.

Saylor posts holdings chart a day before Strategy reports new buys
Michael Saylor posted a chart on 1 November showing Strategy holds 848,517 bitcoin, bought at an average of $75,446 per coin. He wrote that the company had found room for even more orange, the phrase he used before its last purchase. Strategy bought no bitcoin in the week to 25 October and reports its purchases in a filing on Mondays.
Strategy holds about 4% of all bitcoin, so whether it starts buying again matters for demand.
